What is going on in the wild world?

As an urban metis, I do not expect to see bear skins in the park on the way to work.  I found one this morning.  However, in keeping with the modernity of the city, this one was made of fun fur.  Someone has been out trapping mascots.

I have been enjoying this story about the Toronto girls fighting the dress code at school saying that it is sexist and racist and relies on white middle class ideas of what "dress" should look like.  "Not everyone wants to dress like a “middle-class, heterosexual white woman.” As a middle-class hetro white woman, I don't want to have to dress like that either.
